Feline Fields Lodge
The Feline Fields Lodge is located within the Central Kalahari Safari Region of Botswana – one of the most untouched places in Southern Africa.
Surrounded by Botswana’s breathtaking Kalahari, where Africa’s vaulted skies collide with vast, arid landscapes and endless horizons, Feline Fields Lodge is an oasis in a thirsty land – a place to stop and refuel body, mind and spirit.
This is one of the most authentic desert safari experiences in Southern Africa – a true refuge for the soul.
Feline Fields Lodge Overview
The Kalahari is a desert like no other, an ancient land of semi-arid savannah that seems to stretch forever, filled with a rich diversity of life.
This is the ancestral homeland of Africa’s First People – the San Bushmen – whose fascinating culture permeates everything in this incredible destination.
Feline Fields Lodge sits in the northern reaches of the Kalahari, to the west of the Okavango Delta, not far from the border with neighbouring Namibia.
Completely off grid, using state-of-the-art solar technology, it’s a retreat in every sense of the word, offering a range of activities from desert biking, game drives and horse riding to guided walks, tennis and even golf practice!
However, it’s the authentic interaction and involvement with the nearby San communities that really sets Feline Fields Lodge apart.
Guests get to enjoy fireside storytelling and walks in the Kalahari with the Bushmen, as well as visits to local villages and the chance to witness genuine mystical and spiritual trance dances.
Accommodation at Feline Fields Lodge
With just three Bush Suites, three two-storey Pool Suites and a spacious, two-bedroom Family Villa, the feeling of total exclusivity is a given at Feline Fields Lodge.
Designed with complete privacy in mind, the suites are positioned far apart from one another along the edge of a woodland with panoramic views out over the savannah.
The level of understated elegance, opulence, luxury and attention to detail is consistent across all of the accommodation options, combining to create effortless guest experiences.
Pool Suite at Feline Fields
Feline Fields Lodge’s three two-storey pool suites are built on raised platforms to make the most of the incredible views out over the Kalahari.
Their raison d’etre is to create the feeling of having your own home in the African wilderness where you can relax in private and immerse yourself in your surroundings.
Bush Suite at Feline Fields
Feline Fields Lodge’s three spacious Bush Suites are light and airy, raised more than a metre off the ground on beautiful decks made from sustainable wood.
This gives you the feeling of floating in the Kalahari savannah with phenomenal views from every angle.
Each bush suite has twin beds which can be converted to a super king size bed, surrounded by flowing mosquito nets and complemented by an inviting en-suite bathroom with double basins, walk-in massage shower and flushing toilet.
The suites’ sides can be opened, leaving only transparent gauze netting between you and the bush, creating a natural flow of air and giving that feeling of being completely surrounded by nature.
All of the suites have a beautiful “star bath” out on their private wooden deck where you can admire the crystal-clear Kalahari night sky while enjoying a long, romantic soak.
Add a bottle of bubbly for an extra drop of romance!
Family Villa at Feline Fields
The sizeable two-bedroom Family Villa is perfect for couples with children or even two couples travelling together and overlooks the pristine wilderness of the Kalahari savannah.
Gauze windows allow for a natural flow of air to the private lounge and the canopied bedrooms on either side of it.
Both are double bedrooms, one of which can be converted to a twin or triple room.
Each bed is surrounded by linen mosquito nets.
Each bedroom has its own, en-suite bathroom with double basins, massage shower and flushing toilet.
The Family Villa also has its own spacious deck made from sustainable wood where you can relax during the day or gaze up at the African night sky, ablaze with a million stars.
A private swimming pool runs the width of the villa, giving you the chance to cool off during the day and night, if you wish!
Facilities at Feline Fields Lodge
Our 25m lap pool allows for swimming as well as cooling off.
It’s a great way to exercise and beat the heat.
You don’t have to be an Olympic swimmer to enjoy doing lengths, so feel free to take as much time as you need to get your cardio session sorted!

Most riding takes place in the early morning to avoid the heat of the day.
Visit the local village and learn more about the San Bushmen and their community, discovering how they live in close harmony with nature, respecting its power and giving thanks for the food and shelter it provides.
