While in camp, you’ll have the opportunity to see some of the most prolific wildlife in Africa, including huge herds of elephant and buffalo, predators like lion and leopard, and plentiful general plains game, as well as hundreds of bird species.

Accommodation at Feline Fields Vintage Camp

Feline Fields Vintage Camp is an authentic tented camp on the banks of the Khwai River offering safari experiences for individual travellers, couples, families and exclusive groups.

Bell Tents

Spacious and romantic, Feline Fields Vintage Camp’s eight bell tents take “glamping” to new levels.

All have luxurious king or twin beds, with fluffy down duvets and feather pillows and plush mattresses.

Add in rugs, butler trays, Victoriana-style pot plants and swish cane furniture and you have all the modern comforts with oodles of vintage style.

Each tent has its own en-suite bathroom with a basin, flushing toilet and large bucket shower which is filled with warm water when you need it.

A small wooden deck in front of each tent has two comfortable safari chairs for relaxation and an amenity station with a basin that’s filled with warm water each morning so you can refresh yourself before heading out on a morning game drive.

Two family tents are available, each with two, interleading bedrooms – one with a king size bed and one with twin beds – and a shared bathroom.

More family tents can be created on demand for exclusive groups travelling together.

Lounge and Dining Tents at Vintage Camp

Overlooking the Khwai River, Feline Fields Vintage Camp’s lounge and dining tents are the perfect place to kick back and relax during the heat of the day and enjoy wonderfully flavourful meals while sharing stories of the day’s adventures.

With the décor taking its inspiration from the campaign days of old with a hint of Moroccan pizazz thrown in for good measure, the comfortable folding chairs, soft floor scatters and plump, cushioned day beds and chairs are the perfect place to curl up.

From guided walking safaris to soaring above the Okavango Delta in a helicopter, exploring the legendary wilderness around the Khwai River in a myriad ways is the essence of the safari adventure of a lifetime.

Early morning and afternoon/evening game drives are offered every day at Feline Fields Vintage Camp and give you the opportunity to explore the region around the camp and along the Khwai River, one of the most prolific wildlife regions in Botswana.

This area is renowned for its high concentrations of predators like lion and leopard, huge herds of elephant and buffalo.

Exploring on foot gives you the chance to properly immerse yourself in the wilderness, connecting you directly to the planet beneath your feet and the environment around you.

The guided walks are all about appreciating the smaller things so often overlooked on game drives – the plants and animals that otherwise go unnoticed.

You learn as you go and are often treated to sightings of iconic wildlife species along the way.

Gliding through the perennial channels of the Okavango Delta in a mokoro – a traditional “dug-out” canoe – has to be one of the highlights of a visit to Feline Fields Vintage Camp.

Water levels are consistent all year round and not dependent on the annual inundation, this is a wonderful way to see hippos, elephants and buffalos and phenomenal bird life.
