Rra DINARE CAMP
Rra Dinare Camp is authentic, unpretentious, and full of heart — the kind of camp that sticks with you long after you’ve left the Okavango Delta dust behind.
Located just south of the Moremi Game Reserve, and containing critical dry-season watering points, this concession was once leased for controlled trophy hunting.
In the early 2000s, the Botswana government embraced low-impact, high-value photographic safaris.
The goal? To create long-term benefits for wildlife and people, replacing hunting income with more sustainable photographic safari operations.
Today, Rra Dinare Camp stands as a model of community-conscious tourism.
The camp is situated on the opposite side of the concession from Mma Dinare, offering a slightly different landscape for game viewing, with nearby woodlands that leopards love and seasonal water sources for migrating animals.
You’ll game drive amid the large buffalo herds with the thrill of knowing that big cats are silently stalking them.
Dinare means ‘many buffalo’ in Setswana and they roam the verdant floodplains in front of Rra Dinare Camp – often with lions in their wake.
Watch them from a circular viewing deck beside the campfire.
